I live / work overseas
If you are working overseas for a UK based company we can obtain a Disclosure for you if your employer registers with us (you can still pay for it if that is the arrangement you prefer).
Your original proof of address and proof of ID documents will need to be checked. Those that are with you and not suitable to be sent to us in the UK (passport, drivers licence) will need to be checked locally by somebody from your UK employer. Other documents can be sent to us or you can sign a consent form and nominate a UK contact who we can obtain other documents from.
If you do not have a UK address where you have resided in the past 5 years, then we can only apply for a Standard Disclosure as Enhanced Disclosure applications have to go to the local police (somewhere).
If you are being asked for a "criminal record check" by an overseas employer/regulator then you should approach the local UK Embassy to get this, unless the employer is willing to register with us.
