BUGB arrangements with DDC
The Baptist Union of Great Britain (BUGB) cover all of the administration and processing costs for all DBS checks for churches, associations and colleges through a long term contract arrangement with DDC Ltd.
This means that all applications for volunteer roles are free to churches, associations and colleges.
(Please note that if a church chooses to use another provider for DBS checks, then the church will be responsible for meeting all costs in relation to that service).
If the applicant is in a paid role, or is in training for a qualification or future paid role, then they will be asked to pay the DBS fee of £44 (this is not subject to VAT) at the time of application, and they will receive a receipt so that they can claim this cost back through their church or employer. The DDC processing costs for such applications continue to be met by BUGB.
For the online system, payment can be made through the website before completing the form and nominating documents. For those applying using the paper process, please make sure that you include a cheque for £44 with your application pack, or call DDC on 0845 644 3298 if you wish to pay with a credit or debit card.
