End of support for Internet Explorer 7 and 8

Why is support ending for Internet Explorer 7 and 8?
The Internet Explorer 7 and 8 (IE7 and IE8) browsers have been in use since 2006, and several security vulnerabilities have been identified in recent years. In response to these discoveries, Microsoft stopped supporting or updating these browsers on the 12th Jan 2016, and recommend that all websites phase out support. As an organisation committed to providing the most secure, reliable and professional service possible we have decided to phase out support for the oldest versions of Internet Explorer – IE7 and IE8.
How will this effect users?
According to our internal data, this change should affect less than 2% of our users. There are several more modern and secure browser alternatives, such as Internet Explorer 11, Chrome, Safari or Firefox. You can download these using a simple internet search or directly from the providers (Microsoft, Google, Apple or Mozilla).
As a result of these changes, our online portal will no longer fully support IE7 & IE8 from 30th June 2016.
