DBS Primary Identity documents

UK Driver Licence Changes

The Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) have announced that from 8th June 2015 they will no longer be issuing the Paper Counterpart to UK Photocard Driving Licences. To match this change the DBS will be updating their ID checking guidance to class all UK Photocard Driving Licences as Group 1 documents.

DDC Online System Changes

The online system will be updated to accommodate this change, and will remove the option to select a ‘UK Photocard¬†Driving Licence¬†(without paper counterpart)’. Any documents nominated before the 8th June will not be included within this change however an applicant or document checker can amend the selected ID documents if required. For any assistance with this please contact one of the team on 0845 644 3298.

Paper Guidance Changes

Please note that any paper application packs posted prior to this change may include older information and for up-to-date guidance applicants can go to our Guidance for applicants webpages. If any Client is holding a stock of packs please contact one of the team to obtain new packs or print the updated documents from your Client Area.
