In March 2010 a new online process for obtaining DBS Disclosures for employees or prospective employees was introduced.
This takes advantage of the DBS’s online application submission system with the aim of minimising the time taken to obtain Disclosures. Submitting applications online and having the system check the data as it is input also ensures that only correctly completed applications reach the DBS, which again saves time & resource for Nuffield Health.
The DBS covers England and Wales with Scotland having their own system operated by Disclosure Scotland.
In February 2011 the Scottish Parliament replaced Disclosures for roles working with children or vulnerable adults with the new membership system called the PVG Scheme. Nuffield Health sites in Scotland will be affected by this, so Requesters in Scotland should read the information in the Scotland section of this screen.
