In a dance environment where your volunteer helpers often spend significant time with under 18s, it’s crucial to complete a DBS check. This applies to all who are closely involved in the show. How much is a DBS check?
For volunteer helpers requiring an enhanced DBS check, the cost is as little as £12.00 per volunteer. At DDC we do not charge a set-up fee and you simply pay for the checks you request.
How does the process work?
Once you have registered for an online account with DDC, you will be able to enter the details of your volunteer helpers to start their DBS check. The volunteer will then receive an email from DDC to access their interactive online application form before verifying their identity. DDC will then check over the application before submitting the application to the DBS .
Notification of the DBS check being issued is available through your online portal and the volunteer will receive a paper certificate in the post.
