The Costs
Our standard administration charge for our Disclosure Application Service is £16.00 + VAT per application with an additional £4.00 + VAT for POVAFirst checks where requested (regulated care homes only).
There is no charge to register with us.
In addition to the DDC administration charge, the CRB charges for paid positions are £31.00 for Standard Disclosures or £36.00 for Enhanced Disclosures with a further £6.00 for POVAFirst checks if requested. There is no VAT on the CRB charge and they make no charge for volunteers, which they define as :-
A person who spends time, unpaid (except for travelling and other approved out-of-pocket expenses), doing something which aims to benefit someone (individuals or groups) other than or in addition to close relatives.
(note: Remunerated positions within a volunteering organisation are considered by the CRB to be non-voluntary).
Whilst the CRB covers England, Wales & N. Ireland, Disclosures for organisations who make employment decisions* in Scotland are issued by Disclosure Scotland who charge £20.00 (no VAT) for any level of Disclosure.
*The key to which bureau to use is where the employment decision is made, not where the applicant resides.
