DDC celebrates 20 years of dedicated service!

DDC was founded in 2002 to support businesses and schools in the Midlands to obtain criminal record checks. Now in 2022, DDC operate as a market leader in both DBS and pre-employment screening, providing all levels of DBS checks, right to work, employment references and more.
Following the introduction of the CRB, now known as the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), DDC was originally founded to support schools, care providers and local businesses who were all in need of checks. The company expanded, and by 2009, moved to a larger office in Syston, Leicestershire with a team of 10. That same year, DDC became one of the first Umbrella Bodies to become approved by the DBS to submit online checks. This was a significant milestone that enabled clients to submit checks quickly and efficiently, and for applicants to enjoy a fully online experience.
As the business continued to expand Jonathan Bazely joined to manage the Customer Service Team and act as a central contact for major clients. After a period of exceptional growth, Matthew Tuckey also joined taking lead of the sales and marketing team. Both Matthew and Jonathan are now Directors of the business with a team of 35 employees.
In response to client requests, DDC introduced a new range of services in 2017, these included: employment references, right to work checks, qualification and professional membership. Now in its 20th year of business, DDC provide an all-encompassing pre-employment screening platform offering an array of over 12 background checks. So far, they have helped 24,837 clients and have delivered 1,384,043 pre-employment reports. The team pride themselves on the ability to support clients of any size, from a few criminal record checks to a multinational organisation fully outsourcing all their pre-employment screening requirements.
Most recently DDC was selected as winners for the Business Improvement through Technology category at the East Midlands Chamber Business Awards. DDC were recognised for utilising innovative technology to work more effectively and to increase their ability to meet customers’ needs. To be recognised through the East Midlands Chamber Business Awards, highlights the hard work and dedication of the whole team not only in recent years but over the last 20 years.
