URC arrangements with DDC
The United Reformed Church (URC) will cover the administration and processing costs for all DBS checks for churches, synods, ministers and assembly accredited lay preachers through a long-term contract arrangement with DDC Ltd.
Volunteer roles
All applications for volunteer roles are free.
Paid roles
If the applicant is a ministerial candidate or minister in training, then the URC will pay the DBS fee of £49.50 including the DDC processing costs.
For others the cost (£49.50) must be paid at the time of application (and clawed back through expenses). Payment can be made through the website before completing the form and nominating documents. For those applying using the paper process, please make sure that you include a cheque for £40 with your application pack or call DDC on 0845 644 3298 or 0116 260 3055 if you wish to pay with a credit or debit card.
