Why visit DDC?
DDC work in partnership with many Schools and Academies, supporting them with DBS and other pre-employment checks. DDC’s online platform provides a level of flexibility to allow you to create a platform to accommodate your organisation’s structure. DDC have developed key features within the portal to ensure schools are complaint with all relevant legislation ensuring quick and easy results.
Section 128 check
DDC can also provide section 128 checks at no additional cost. A section 128 direction prohibits a person from taking part in the management of an independent school, academy or free school. This includes governors, trustees and directors. DDC request a section 128 check alongside an enhanced DBS check, providing the results on one online platform. This allows you to maintain disclosure numbers and evidence of the checks completed on the single central record.
OFSTED inspections
OFSTED advise that they do not need to see the original Disclosure Certificate that are issued by the Disclosure and Barring Service, but need to see evidence that a check was carried out at the time of employment. The DDC portal provides sufficient evidence to confirm this through a ‘Manage Applications’ section.
Clients can print off a specifically designed “Disclosure Notice” of the check that was carried out for a paper or electronic record, to be kept on personnel files. We can also tailor the account to match any recheck policies you have within your organisation to ensure your staff Disclosures are kept up to date.
