What will the new DBS fees be?
We are pleased to announce that the DBS is reducing the cost of DBS checks for all disclosure levels.

| Basic DBS check | £23.00 | £18.00 |
| Standard DBS check | £23.00 | £18.00 |
| Enhanced DBS check | £40.00 | £38.00 |
Standard and Enhanced checks for volunteer roles will remain free of charge.
When will this change take place?
The new pricing structure will be in place for all applications submitted to the DBS from 6 April 2022. Please note that this is the date that the DBS receive the application through e-Bulk or the web service.
Why has this change occurred?
The DBS are constantly reviewing their charges to ensure they offer value for money with the public services provided. There has also been a recent increase in demand for basic level checks due to increased focus on good recruitment practices. Basic level checks are commonly returned within 24 hours and are a great way to screen any applicants, irrespective of their role within your organisation. At DDC we feel this price reduction of over 20% is fantastic news for employers, especially with the current increase in recruitment, and labour market changes.
What will DDC be doing about these changes?
